Colorado Adopts New Rules for Fracking Disclosure

 

Colorado regulators approved new rules on Dec. 13, 2011, that will require oil and gas companies to publicly disclose chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing. The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission unanimously approved the new rules. Fracking involves blasting water, sand and chemicals into rock to free oil and natural gas.
